About the event
In Canada, a license is necessary to purchase, sell, or possess firearms and ammunition.
The course begins at 9 am and will last the entire day. Participants should bring their own beverages and lunch.
The CFSC provides foundational knowledge and practical skills for safe firearm use:
Firearms Safety Principles: ACTS (Assume, Control, Trigger, See) and PROVE (Point, Remove, Observe, Verify, Examine) methods for handling firearms safely
Non-Restricted Firearms Operation: Safe handling, loading, unloading, and shooting techniques for rifles and shotguns.
Ammunition Knowledge: Types, handling, and safe storage.

The course begins at 9 am and will last the entire day. Participants should bring their own beverages and lunch. Attendees must present one piece of valid government-issued identification, such as a driver's license or passport. Minors 12 and over who do not have a passport must provide two forms of identification such as Birth Certificate and Alberta Health care card. Class participation is required.
